Sarah Sultan, LMHC, has spent her career helping people through some of life’s hardest moments. She earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College, graduating summa cum laude. Her clinical experience spans children with special needs, adolescents facing emotional and behavioral challenges, families going through difficult seasons, and survivors of trauma and domestic violence. Sarah currently works at a residential treatment center for teens in crisis. There, she supports adolescents struggling with suicidality, trauma, self-harm, aggression, and other serious challenges. This is not work she approaches from a distance. She understands how complicated healing can be, especially when individuals and families are carrying pain that others may not see. Her work also brings psychology and faith into the same conversation. As an instructor at Mishkah University, Sarah teaches a course exploring the intersection of Islam, psychology, and counseling. For more than ten years, she has served the Muslim community through lectures, halaqas, and workshops. Through her writing, Sarah offers readers something deeply needed: clinically grounded guidance that understands both the realities of emotional struggle and the importance of faith in the healing process.
