Too many distractions these days, we are always multitasking and not enjoying that eating moment whether together or alone. There is so much barakah in food SubhanAllah, but we first need to respect eating time, be grateful of the food and enjoy time with loved ones, follow all the beautiful Sunnah of eating In Shaa Allah!
My cultural background is full of Mindless Eating, subhanAllah! Force feeding is being hospitable 🙁

in theory everyone knows, but not everyone does it…
When body feels dehydrated we usually mistake it as hunger and instead of drinking water we reach for wrong kinds of foods or soda etc. Drinking atleast 1 glass of water every time you get hungry is a great way to cut down on those cravings and avoid over-eating!

They recommend to drink 2 cups, room temp water when first wake up. It helps digestion a lot!
There is also a trick to put down the fork/spoon in between the bites.
Our religion teaches us to eat less,just enough to keep yourself keep healthy.
