All of us yearn to be healthy, active, and fit, but many of us face several challenges in leading a healthy lifestyle. While some complain about lack of time due to never-ending chores, others feel eating healthy is synonymous with eating boring meals that are not delicious or appealing enough. 

Here are the top five reasons why you could be sabotaging your health:

1. Assuming that nutritious food is not tasty:

You probably think eating healthy would mean consuming food that’s not appealing to your taste buds. This is one of the biggest reasons for people not embarking on a healthy weight maintenance journey. That’s not true at all. You can make your food scrumptious and healthy. You need to look for the right ingredients and experiment with flavors and combinations to get it right. There are plenty of resources online to help you get started.

2. Eating healthy means “starving”:

Many people associate healthy eating with starvation. They think that if they have to eat healthily, they need to starve and deprive themselves of what they are craving. That’s far from the truth. Eating the right proportions and balancing your meals can make you enjoy your favorite dessert without feeling guilty. It’s always about managing your calories and meal portions without overdoing any component. If you are starving yourself, you are probably not eating right in the first place and might self-sabotage your health. Nutrient-dense foods will never leave you hungry or make you crave certain foods over others. 

3. Lack of knowledge:

When you don’t know how to eat healthy due to a lack of knowledge or guidance, you could end up making all the wrong choices and sabotaging your health. A lot of times, people don’t know where to begin. They want to get better physically but are left clueless about how to start their journey. 4. Not getting desired results:

There is no dearth of commitment or motivation in people, but sometimes, you can get frustrated easily when you don’t see the desired results. For example, a person could be running and walking every day but not see any change in his weight or stamina. In this example, it’s like someone trying to dig a hole for their swimming pool using a spoon. They’re working hard, but they’re not getting the results. Therefore, it’s a matter of learning the right techniques and strategies. On our Facebook page, we have had many sisters reporting that they feel better, stronger, healthier, more energetic than ever after following the advice from our experts. They help you lead a healthy lifestyle and support you in having a better way of living.

5. The lack of support:

When you don’t have the right environment to support you and your goals, you often feel dejected and unmotivated. When you have family members who are eating junk, you will definitely find it harder to stick to clean eating. It becomes very hard to avoid temptation. This is where you need a support group, whether online or offline. Our Facebook page was designed to help you with just that.
